Megan & Eric

January 2, 2012

… or Nick, as Brian called him. To be fair, Megan does have a brother named Nick.
I’ve known Megan’s family since 1986 and even better since 1988ish, when they moved in across the street. I have so many fond memories of sweet Megan and her family. It’s hard to believe that this little girl, my babysitee, is getting married. Her handsome, and equally sweet mate, is a pilot. Both in aviation, we had to do an engagement session at Bowman Field. It would be a serious understatement to say that I was looking forward to their wedding – I CANNOT  wait!

To you and yours

December 21, 2011

We’re headed to KY to make merry & rejoice!

Mindy & Sean

December 12, 2011

I like Mindy; I have since the first time I met her. And I was super excited to meet her, very tall, groom (I think I come up to his elbow). As I was hoping, he’s just as nice and easy going as Mindy! They’re a great fit and I’m totally looking forward to their union this summer. Now back to winter, or fall, as I am reminded, you may get the feel in some of these photos, but it was a pretty chilly day… Minnesota chilly (of course, as newby’s to MN, have we really felt the chill yet?). I love how comfortable Mindy and Sean look, maybe love is all you need to keep warm…

Trick or Treat?

School Portraits

October 1, 2011

Well, I was in Louisville at just the right time… school portraits are online.
Parents, take a look here. (and if you need the password, just email me, or this pretty lady’s mama : ))

Sweet Sisters

September 30, 2011

This family needs no introduction – I just LOVE, LOVE all of them!
You can go back in time here, here, and here (there is another shoot or two, but those are pre-blog).

The guy, there in the middle, he’s mine. And if everything goes as planned, one day, a Vest girl will offically be in the family.

Megan & Philip

September 30, 2011

Megan and Philip were married in Louisville KY. You may remember their engagement shoot, but just in case you don’t, you can go here to look again. The reception was at beautiful Yew Dell Gardens. Everything was perfect… even the rain came, and went, at just the right moment. One, of the many, reasons I love to photograph weddings: getting to hear the story of how the couple came to be. They have a pretty cute story (you’ll have to ask ‘em). And now, their day…

Mary & Michael

September 5, 2011

Mary and Michael were married in Dufur, OR. I loved all the touches of red, white, and blue throughout their day; from the candy, to the punch (it was supposed to be blue, turned out a pretty shade of purple — but we’ll count it ; )), to the bridesmaid’s dresses… Michael is in the Navy (bet you could tell by that cute hat) – go USA! Congratulations and thank yous to these two for serving us all!
* (and thanks to Kelly T. for photographing this joyous event with me!)

The M’s!

August 30, 2011

I was so happy to photograph this sweet family during my quick trip back to Hood River. I first met the mama, pregnant, with this little bit. And not too long after, I photographed baby. And now at almost a year, I just love seeing this little petite exploring and learning to walk. How fast they grow — like little weeds! (VERY cute little weeds)

The J Family

August 29, 2011

I love this family!
They’re so warm and comfortable… it always feels like home with them.
(sigh – that’s all I can say, otherwise I’m going to get too sad — they’re back in Hood River)
